Historical Timeline
Year - 1862 (Foundation and Pioneers of World Football): Founded in November 1862 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, it is officially recognised as the world’s oldest professional football club. It was established on the initiative of a group of local gentlemen led by W. Arkwright and Chas. Deakin to play recreational matches at Cremorne Gardens under their own set of rules prior to the formal incorporation of the FA in 1863, thereby setting the precedent for the founding of the sport at a professional level.

Year - 1888 (Founding Member of the Football League): The club cemented its status as a legendary institution when, on 17 April 1888, it became one of the twelve founding members of the English Football League, the first official football league in history. This founding role placed Notts County at the forefront of the organisational and competitive development of British football, with the club competing in the inaugural season of 1888–89.

Year - 1894 (FA Cup winners at Goodison Park): On 31 March 1894, the club achieved its greatest sporting glory by being crowned FA Cup champions after beating Bolton Wanderers 4–1 in the final played at Goodison Park, Liverpool. Striker Jimmy Logan etched his name in history by scoring a historic hat-trick in that match, making Notts County the first club in history to win this prestigious national trophy whilst playing outside the top flight.

Year - 1903 (The Legacy of the Stripes and the Link with Juventus): In 1890, the team adopted its iconic black-and-white vertical-striped shirt design. This kit was immortalised in 1903, when an English footballer linked the club with Juventus of Turin. The Italians, seeking to replace their old pink shirts which were fading, adopted the black-and-white stripes of Notts County, sent from Nottingham, giving rise to the legendary kit of the multiple Italian champions.
