Everton Football Club (Premier League)
Where is Everton Football Club from? It is a football club based in the city of Liverpool (Inglaterra). Home matches are played at Goodison Park.
Everton is one of the historic giants and founding members of the English league in 1888. They were founded in a small Methodist church and, interestingly, were the original owners and tenants of the historic Anfield stadium before being evicted following a nasty rent dispute, which gave rise to a deep and irreconcilable hatred of Liverpool FC. They have won nine league titles and hold the impressive, unbroken record of being the club with the longest cumulative spell in the world’s most prestigious top flight.

Historical Timeline
Year - 1878: Built in the Methodist church to keep out the cold
Everton was officially founded in 1878 under the rudimentary name of ‘St Domingo FC’. It was formally established by the parishioners of the ‘St Domingo Methodist New Connexion Chapel’ in the Everton district of Liverpool. The sole purpose of the congregation’s devotees in founding the club was to organise regular football matches that would keep them active, healthy and on the move during the freezing winter and the months when cricket could not be played.
Year - 1927–1928: Dixie Dean and the unbeatable, superhuman record
The first great era of the Toffees’ overwhelming dominance was epitomised by the legendary striker William Ralph ‘Dixie’ Dean. In the magical and unrepeatable 1927–28 season, Dean reached the staggering, astonishing and monstrous milestone of 60 goals scored in a single league season (breaking the record on the final day with a hat-trick against Arsenal), leading Everton to the title and setting a sacred and unbeatable benchmark in the history of British football.
Year - The 1960s: The sublime and highly acclaimed ‘School of Science’
During the 1960s, under the firm, astute and demanding leadership of manager Harry Catterick, Everton played such a neat, elegant, attractive and effective brand of football that the sports press unanimously dubbed them ‘The School of Science’. Led by dazzling stars such as the ‘Golden Trio’ (Kendall, Harvey and Ball), the club won the league in convincing fashion in 1963 and 1970, and an epic and unforgettable FA Cup in 1966.
Year - The 1980s: Howard Kendall’s heroic years of utter glory
The period of greatest dominance in the club’s history came under manager Howard Kendall. Amid fierce and brutal domestic competition against Ian Rush’s colossal Liverpool side, Everton managed to snatch two First Division titles (1985 and 1987) in majestic and spectacular fashion, as well as lifting the 1984 FA Cup and achieving a brilliant and heroic triumph on the continental stage by winning the 1985 European Cup Winners’ Cup.
Year - 1995–present: The long and painful drought and the neglect of Goodison
Following their heroic and surprise victory in the 1995 FA Cup final against Manchester United, the club entered a harrowing and disastrous period of sporting obscurity, enduring decades on end without lifting a single official trophy. Plagued by crippling financial debts and recent, devastating point deductions, the historic club is fighting on fiercely and stoically, planning its imminent move from the much-loved, ageing Goodison Park to the ultra-modern Bramley-Moore Dock.
