Historical Timeline
Year - 1903 (Foundation and Origins of Colours): Founded on 29 May 1903 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, following a meeting at the Belle Vue Hotel organised by Alfred Ayrton, Ike Newton, Harry Jowett and Arthur Lancaster. It emerged from the reorganisation of Manningham Football Club (a rugby club founded in 1880), which decided to adopt the rules of association football to introduce professional football to a region traditionally associated with rugby, immediately securing a place in the Football League without having played a single match. They inherited the claret and amber colours of Manningham F.C., which they had worn since 1884 at Valley Parade, inspiring their nickname ‘The Bantams’ due to their small stature but tremendous fighting spirit.

Year - 1911 (Golden Age and FA Cup Winners): After securing promotion to the First Division in 1908 under Peter O’Rourke, the club reached the pinnacle of its history by winning the FA Cup on 26 April 1911. After a 0–0 draw against Newcastle United, the replay at Old Trafford ended in a 1–0 victory thanks to a header from captain Jimmy Speirs. That same season, the team set its all-time league record by finishing fifth in the top flight.

Year - 1985 (The Valley Parade Tragedy): On 11 May 1985, whilst supporters were celebrating winning the Third Division title in a match against Lincoln City, a devastating fire broke out in the main wooden stand at Valley Parade. The fire claimed the lives of 56 spectators and left more than 250 injured, prompting a far-reaching and definitive overhaul of the legislation governing safety standards at British stadiums and leading to a ban on wooden stands.

Year - 2013 (The ‘Bantams’ League Cup Feat): During the 2012–13 season, whilst competing in League Two (the fourth tier), the team managed by Phil Parkinson achieved an unprecedented feat by reaching the League Cup final at Wembley. In a memorable campaign, they knocked out three Premier League sides in succession (Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa) before losing to Swansea City in the final.
